Charges laid in the 2017 murder of Ronnie Olara OBINA in Calgary

Calgary police were called to the area of Ranchero Rise N.W. at approximately 4pm where Ronnie Olara OBINA was found dead in a vehicle, parked in an alley.

Police said that at this time this death is not believed to be connected to the Pineridge death on Friday.

An autopsy has been scheduled for this week to determine the cause of death. No other information is available at this time.

Update October 27th, 2020

On October 23, 2020, Jessie PEARSON, 33, and Jayme Scott DENOVAN, 30, both of Calgary, were arrested in Regina, Sask., by the Regina Police Service in relation to this investigation.  PEARSON and DENOVAN have each been charged with one count of first-degree murder in relation to the death of  Ronnie Olara OBINA, 29, of Calgary. They are scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, Oct. 29, 2020.
