Lee Andrew MacDonald Charged in 2025 Bible Hill, Nova Scotia Woman’s Murder Case

Colchester County District RCMP responded to a check on wellbeing at a residence on Bomber Drive in the Truro area on January 3rd at approximately 9:30 am.

On arrival, officers discovered a 42-year-old woman deceased and a man found unconscious. The man was swiftly transported to the hospital, where his condition remains under investigation.

Following an autopsy, the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service has officially ruled the woman’s death a homicide. Investigators are actively working to gather evidence and have executed search warrants in connection with the case. NEN MCU is leading the investigation with continued assistance from RCMP Forensic Identification Services (FIS).

No Threat to Public Safety

At this time, there is no evidence suggesting a risk to the public or that the homicide is related to intimate partner violence. Authorities continue to ask anyone with information to come forward as the investigation progresses.

Update: Following a lengthy investigation, officers arrested Lee Andrew MacDonald without incident at a residence in Bible Hill on May 26, 2026. He has been charged with second-degree murder and appeared in Truro Provincial Court for the first time on May 27. MacDonald remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in court again at a later date.
