On April 28th at around 2:30am a man drove a vehicle into a Pioneer Gas Station at 333 Upper Centennial Parkway in Hamilton. The man was covered in blood.
The victim was able to get help from a passerby who called 911. Emergency crews took the victim to hospital where he died of his injuries on April 30th.
The police are not releasing any other details at this time to protect the integrity of the case.
Update: The victim has been identifies as Hayder Qasim-Rushdi 33, of Mississauga. Qasim-Rushdi was not known to police.
Update:
Police have issued warrants for the arrest of three 17 year old girls, who can’t be named as they are minors. It is believed that the girls were working as escorts. The knife used in the murder has been located, and the victim’s vehicle is under forensic analysis.
Update May 4th
Two females have now been arrested after turning themselves into police.
Update December 20th
The 17 year old girl from Hamilton pleaded guilty to manslaughter. The 18 and 18 year old girls from Toronto pleaded guilty to robbery. Initially the three girls were facing second degree murder charges.
