Hamilton Police responded to a call for a disturbance at a home on West 31st near Upper Paradise and Bendamere Avenue on November 13th at approximately 12:40pm.
Police arrived to find Catherine Ambrose and Peter Ambrose, both 63-years-old, suffering from stab wounds. The male suspect exited the residence armed with a knife and charged at police. According to reports Hamilton Police discharged both a CEW and a firearm before arresting the uninjured male.
The victims were rushed to the hospital where Catherine has succumbed to her injuries, and Peter is recovering.
This is the 15th homicide in Hamilton this year.
Update – Hamilton Police have charged 30-year-old Devon Ambrose with:
- 2nd Degree Murder
- Aggravated Assault
- Assault Peace Officer with a Weapon (x2)
Police have confirmed that Devon is the son of Catherine and Peter Ambrose.
