On Thursday, February 20, at around 6:20 a.m., police responded to a report of a man found injured on McFatridge Road in Halifax. Officers arrived at the scene and discovered a man, lying on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound.
The victim who was identified as Uriah Lemar Black, 38, was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased
An autopsy by the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service confirmed that the death was a homicide.
The investigation is still ongoing, though authorities do not believe the incident was random.
Update: Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a blue Honda CRV.
