Halfax police responded to the report of a shooting in the 1600 block of Hollis Street on March 26th at approximate;y 3:50am.

Police and paramedics located the victim,  20-year-old Keezondre Kentrez Smith, suffering from serious injuries. He was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries. Investigators do not believe this was a random incident.

The investigation is being led by homicide investigators from the Special Investigations Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division. The investigation is in its preliminary stages and police are asking anyone with information about this incident to call police at 902-490-5020.
