Guelph police said the remains of a 62-year-old Guelph male, Mike Galizzi, were located in a greenspace off Carrington Place on February 1st.

Mike Galizzi, was last seen downtown on the morning of December 6th, 2023, and was reported missing two days later.

On Friday February 9th, 2024, a 27-year-old Guelph man was arrested for second-degree murder and committing an indignity to a human body. The accused and the victim were known to each other. The accused will appear in a Guelph bail court on Saturday, February 10th.
