Surrey police were called to a home near 161st Street and 30th Avenue on January 6th at approximately 5:00am.

Police and paramedics arrived to find Gary Kang, 24, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Integrated Homicide Investigation Team Sgt. Frank Jang said he was known to police, and they believe it was a targeted homicide, linked to the Lower Mainland Gang Conflict.
