60-year-old Debbie Hollman murdered by her son Kevin Hollman in Saskatoon’s first homicide of 2021

Saskatoon police responded to a disturbance at a home in the 200 block of Wakaw Place on January 6th at approximately 2:00am.

According to the Saskatoon police, officers encountered a man who was apprehended after a conductive energy weapon (Taser) was deployed. Upon entering the home police located 60-year-old Debbie Hollman, deceased. 65-year-old Gary Hollman was transported to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

A 34-year-old Kevin Michael Hollman has been arrested and charged with one count of second-degree murder and one count of attempted murder of his parents.

Update September 2021
Kevin Hollman has been found not criminally responsible for the murder of his mother.

A psychiatrist has determined that Kevin had acute schizophrenia when he stabbed his mother Debbie Hollman seven times in the head and neck, along with 25 times in the torso.
