The Fredericton Police Force Major Crime Team announced on December 30th that the Shooting investigation from December 21, 2021 is now a homicide.

41-year-old Corey Markey, succumbed to his injuries in the night hours on December 29th.

Anyone with information about the shooting, or any suspicious activity in the area of Paul Street in the overnight hours of December 20-21,2021, is asked to contact Fredericton Police at 506-460-2300, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
