Lethbridge police and emergency crews were called to an apartment building on the 200 block of 7 A Avenue South after reports of an assault on March 27, around 6:30 a.m.

When they arrived, they found a man inside one of the units unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The case was quickly deemed a homicide and taken over by the Police Criminal Investigation Section. The following day, March 28, officers arrested two suspects without incident.

Investigators say the attack was targeted and involved individuals who were known to each other.

On March 28, police located and arrested two men, aged 43 and 27, without any issues. Two days later, on March 30, the Critical Incident Team carried out search warrants at homes on Mt. Crandell Crescent, leading to the arrest of a 42-year-old man.

On April 2, the Crime Suppression Team arrested a 40-year-old man, and on April 8, a 22-year-old woman voluntarily surrendered at a police station.

The individuals—Darcy Andrew Medicine Crane (43), Jordan Frank North Peigan (27), Nicholas Rodney Scout (42), Bradley Stephen Paskiuski (40), and Emma Ryann Scott (22), all from Lethbridge—have each been charged with first-degree murder and remain in custody.
