File Hills Police responded to the report of a suspicious death on Okanese First Nation on September 24th at approximately 4:40am.

On arrival police located 32-year-old Amanda Keewatin deceased.

39-year-old James Stonechild from the Okanese First Nation was arrested at the scene and charged with second degree murder.

Police said RCMP Major Crimes will continue to investigate.
