Update charges laid: Fatal daylight shooting of Jerome Belle, marks Toronto’s 15th homicide of 2019

Toronto police were called to the area of Randolph and Perth avenues, near Bloor GO station, at approximately 3:30pm on March 19th on report of a shooting.

Police arrived to find a man in his mid twenties, suffering from life threatening injuries. The victim was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries. The victim’s identity has not been released at this time.

Police are looking for a suspect who was seen leaving the area of 21 Randolph Ave. approaching Perth Avenue and fleeing on foot. The investigation is in it’s early stages, more information will be added as it becomes available.

Update. Police have identified the victim as Jerome Belle, 22, of Toronto.

Update March 13th 2020
On March 12, 2020, Toronto Police Homicide arrested Saaid “Postman” Mohiadin, 29, of Toronto and charged him with one count of First Degree Murder. Mohiadin is scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall, on Wednesday, March 18, 2020, at 2 p.m.
