Ottawa Police Service was called to a stabbing of a man on October 28th at approximately 7:50 pm in the 200 block of Ste Monique Street in Vanier.
The victim has been identified as 50 year old Jean Cowie of Ottawa was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.
Elianne Assinewai, 58 years old, of Ottawa, has been charged with Second-degree murder. She is scheduled to appear in court this afternoon.
Police have not released the relationship between the victim and the accused.
