The 2022 Edmonton Homicide Victim List is available here

Edmonton police responded to the report of gunshots in the area of 26 Street and 19A Avenue on December 30th at approximately 12:30 a.m.

On arrival police located a 28-year-old male in medical distress and administered first aid. Paramedics rushed the man to hospital where he died of his injuries.

Edmonton Medical Examiner completed an autopsy on the deceased, and on January 3rd, identified the victim as Sheldon Nelson, 28. The cause of death was multiple gunshot wounds.

The homicide Section continues to investigate and is asking anyone with information about Nelson’s death to contact the EPS at 780-423-4567
