Edmonton police said 40-year-old Huran Baran was last seen on January. 22nd and was reported missing by his family. Baran’s family said he was last seen at a restaurant in the area of 133 Street and 137 Avenue. He was driving a red 2013 Dodge Ram 1500 .
Edmonton police conducted a search in the area of 48 Street and Millwoods Road South where they located the red Dodge Ram that Huran Baran had been driving. The body of Baran was found in the vehicle with obvious trauma. An autopsy was completed on January 29th and revealed the death to be a result of “Sharp Force Trauma”. Investigators believe the truck had been in that location since January 23rd.
Police arrested Tristan Taschuk, 30, and charged him with Second-degree Murder. Anyone with information in relation to the death of Baran is asked to contact the EPS at 780-423-4567 .
