17-year-old male charged in the 2021 homicide of Quinton McDonald in Pickering

Durham Regional police were called to a townhouse complex in Pickering on September 27th at approximately 11:30 pm on the report of a shooting.

Police located 32-year-old Quinton McDonald suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. Two occupants were located at the scene and taken into custody. Police said the victim and the two occupants reside at the same residence.

Durham Region Homicide investigators arrested a 17-year-old male of Richmond Hill on February 10th and charged him with Second Degree Murder; Possession of a Restricted/Prohibited Firearm – No License; Possession of a Restricted/Prohibited – Knowingly Not Unauthorized; Unlicensed Person Possess Prohibited Device; Careless Storage of a Firearm and Possession of a Weapon Obtained by Crime.
