Toronto Homicide#62 – Police investigate the homicide of a man who was found in a fire

Toronto police responded to the report of a fire in the Reesor Road and Old Finch Avenue area on September 27th at approximately 12:12am.

A deceased man was located at the scene. The victim has been described as 5’8″ to 5’10”, average build, approximately 25 to 35 years-old, light brown complexion, short dark hair, short dark facial hair, plain gold band on left ring finger, wearing a pair of black Air Jordan shoes with red soles. An autopsy has been scheduled for Tuesday, September 28, 2021 to determine the identity of the victim.

Update September 29th
The victim has been identified as Ronaldo Eustaquio Marques Filho, 20, of Brampton. Investigators are seeking the public’s assistance in determining the victim’s whereabouts leading up to his death. Anyone who knows Ronaldo, or who may have seen him recently, are asked to contact Detective Sergeant Ted Lioumanis.
