 Durham police responded to a residence on Smith Lane in Ajax on the report of a male who had been shot on June 2nd just after midnight.

Police located a 29-year-old Trurell Brown suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to a trauma centre in Toronto with critical injuries and was later pronounced dead.

Police believe they are looking for two suspects, however, are no descriptions at this time.

Update: On Wednesday, January 19, 2022, investigators from our Major Crime – Homicide Unit arrested Jordan MENDEZ, age 29 and Leighton HOPKINSON, age 30, both from Toronto. Both individuals were charged with First Degree Murder.
