 Gypsumville RCMP responded to a shooting in Pinaymootang First Nation. on February 12th at approximately 11:50 PM.

On arrival police located an unresponsive 23-year-old male outside of a residence. Officers provided lifesaving measures, however, the victim was later pronounced deceased on scene.

On February 15, 2024, police issued a warrant for his arrest of 18-year-old Dredynn Kenneth Ducharme of Grand Rapids. Ducharme is facing a charge of  2nd Degree Murder.

Ducharme is described as 6′, 140 lbs with longer black hair and brown eyes, and believed to be in Winnipeg. Police issued the attached photo, but noted that he now has long hair.

He is considered ARMED and DANGEROUS. Do NOT approach. If seen, call police immediately.

On February 20, 2024, 18-year-old Dredynn Kenneth Ducharme was arrested without incident in Winnipeg by the Manitoba Integrated Violent Offender Apprehension Unit.

He remains in custody on a charge of Second-Degree Murder.
