Police received a 911 call on April 7th, at around 11 a.m from a person, who had found a dead body in the house. When police arrived they found two dead bodies. One man and one woman, with obvious signs of injury. The victims names won’t be released until their next of kin have been notified.

Police say the investigation is in the early stages but they aren’t looking for any suspects at this time.

Police identified the victims as Karen Costa 52, and Jeffrey Costa 22, her son.

In a written statement Sam Costa, husband of Karin and father of Jeffery spoke out about the tragedy. “This unspeakable tragedy that occurred in our family home last week was the result of a loving and protective mother trying to save her son from harming himself,”.

Sam Costa said Jeffrey, has struggled with with his illness and the Costa family had been involved with mental health fundraising efforts for the past 20 years.
