Daniel Poulin charged in relation to the death of a woman in Saint-Georges Quebec

The Sûreté du Quebec announced that they arrested Daniel Poulin on Aug. 14, following a 911 report of a man was in crisis and armed with a hammer inside a home on 119th Street at 7:05am in Saint-Georges. 

Quebec’s Independent Bureau of Investigations said police arrived on the scene at 7:15 a.m and located Poulin breaking objects. He then set fire to the home and two people where injured in the basement apartment.

Police said they were taken to hospital where Caroline Lessard ultimately died of her injuries.

Daniel Poulin, is now sacing a first-degree murder charge and a charge of arson with disregard for human life.
