Around 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2024, officers from the Niagara Regional Police Service’s 2 District (Niagara Falls/Niagara-on-the-Lake) were called to a home near Huron and St. Claire Avenue in Niagara Falls for a welfare check.

Upon entering the residence, police discovered an adult woman deceased. She has been identified as 59-year-old Lori Konrad.

As a result of the investigation, 41-year-old Dale James Vincent of Niagara Falls has been charged with second-degree murder.

A significant police presence remains at the scene as Homicide detectives and the Forensic Services Unit continue their work. Investigators believe this incident was targeted and not a random act.
