Cross Lake RCMP received a report of an injured male inside a residence in Pimicikamak Cree Nation on December 22, 2023, at approximately 8:55 am.

On arrival police located a deceased 47 year-old male from the community. His death is considered suspicious.

On December 23, 2023, RCMP Major Crime Services investigators arrested Christopher Scott, 42, and charged him with Manslaughter in relation to the death of a 47-year-old male on December 22, 2023.

Scott is from Pimicikamak Cree Nation and remains in custody.
