RCMP responded to the report of gunfire in the 6500-block of Portland Street in Burnaby on February 3rd at approximately 8:00pm.

Police arrived to find 32-year-old Chris Kenworthy suffering from gunshot wounds in his vehicle. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. Sgt. Frank Jang, of the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team, said Kenworthy was known to police and they believe the homicide was targeted. Police also noted that it is too soon to say if the murder was gang-related.
