The 2024 Quebec Homicide Victim List is available here

The Sûreté du Québec responded to the sound of gunshots at the intersection of 9th Avenue and Guilbault Street in Saint-Lin-Laurentides on Aug. 28th around 3:30 p.m.

On arrival police located an injured 51-year-old victim at the scene. He died in hospital of gunshot wounds.

A 47-year-old suspect from Saint-Lin-Laurentides is expected to appear by video conference at the Joliette courthouse Saturday August 31st.
