Calgary 2026 Homicide Victim List

Calgary Police responded to a reported disturbance at a home in the Pineridge community around 7 p.m. on Sunday, March 29, 2026. When officers arrived, they found a woman in her 50s suffering from life-threatening injuries. She was taken to hospital, where she later died.

A 15-year-old boy was arrested at the scene and charged with aggravated assault and mischief to property under $5,000. His identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

An autopsy was completed by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner on Thursday, April 2, 2026.

Investigators have confirmed the case is domestic in nature, and the victim, who was the accused’s grandmother, will not be publicly identified to protect the privacy of the family and the youth involved.

Police have indicated the charges against the teen are expected to be upgraded at his next court appearance on April 15, 2026.
