The 2024 Calgary Homicide Victim List is available here

Calgary police were called to a residence in the 100 block of Redstone Common N.E., for reports of a woman in medical distress April 21st at approximately 9:20 a.m.

Lifesaving measures were unsuccessful, and the woman was declared deceased at the scene. The victim has been identified as Manpreet KAUR, 25, of Calgary.

A Man was initially taken into custody and has since been released without charge. The Homicide Unit continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident.

Update May 1st
Maninderpreet SINGH, 22, of Calgary, has been charged with second-degree murder in relation to the death of Manpreet KAUR. Investigators believe this homicide is the result of a fatal domestic assault between the victim and the accused.
