The 2024 Calgary Homicide Victim List is available here

Calgary police responded to 100 block of Creekstone Drive S.W., for reports of a person in medical distress at about 2:40 a.m., on Friday, Nov. 22, 2024.

Upon arrival, officers located a man in his 20s deceased. The victim has now been identified as Louis “Trace” SHOTBOTHSIDES, 26. Police have not released his cause of death.

Anyone who had contact with Louis before his death is asked to contact police.

Police are looking for anyone who was in the area of the scene, located in the 100 block of Creekstone Drive S.W., between 10 p.m. and 3 a.m., on Friday, Nov. 22, 2024. Anyone who may have passed through the area, was visiting the area or who has dashcam from the area is asked to come forward.

“At this point in the investigation, we still have many unanswered questions and are turning to the public for assistance,” says Staff Sergeant Sean Gregson of the CPS Homicide Unit. “We have spoken with the victim’s family and are committed to finding answers for them.”
