The 2024 Calgary Homicide Victim List is available here

Calgary police responded to reports of a shooting in the 900 block of 40th Street S.E at approximately 7:20 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2024.

On arrival police located Michael VESTERFELT, 62, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.

No arrests have been made. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact police by calling 403-266-1234.
