Toronto police attended a call for a well-being check at a residence in the Glencairn Avenue and Avenue Road area on October 5, 2024.
Henry Joseph, 82, of Toronto, deceased. Police said the circumstances in which the victim was found were deemed to be suspicious.
The victim’s son, Andrew Joseph, 36, of Toronto was arrested on Sunday, October 6, 2024, and charged with:
- Improper/Indecent Interference with a Dead Body
He was scheduled to attend the Toronto Regional Bail Centre, 2201 Finch Avenue West on Sunday, October 6, 2024, where his charge was upgraded to:
- First Degree Murder
