The 2024 BC Homicide Victim List is available here

On the evening of Monday, December 30, 2024, Anahim Lake RCMP responded to a report of a fight at a residence near Nimpo Lake.

On arrival, officers found a 26-year-old local man suffering from stab wounds. Emergency Health Services (EHS) and police performed life-saving efforts, but the man ultimately succumbed to his injuries.

A 22-year-old resident of Nimpo Lake, known to the victim, was arrested without incident and is currently in custody. Police believe the incident was targeted and have confirmed there is no ongoing risk to the public.

The BC RCMP North District Major Crime Unit is leading the investigation. Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact the Anahim Lake RCMP at (250) 742-3211.
