Durham Region police said on November 21, 2020, a 2-month-old baby was taken to hospital with brain injuries where he died of his injuries on December 7th.

The Homicide Unit took over the investigation and on August 13th announced that the infant’s father, Alvin SERRANO, age 22 of Oshawa, has been charged with Second Degree Murder and Assault Cause Bodily Harm. He was held for a bail hearing.
