Update: Haroun Raselma, charged with manslaughter in relation to the fatal assault of Gabriel Neil in London

London police responded to a 9-1-1 call regarding an assault in the area of Western Road and Sarnia Road on September 11th at approximately 2:00am.

Police located 18-year-old Gabriel Neil of Simcoe, Ontario, suffering from serious injuries. He was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.

As a result of the investigation police arrested 21-year old Aliyan Ahmed of London, and charged him with manslaughter.

Update September 17th
London Police Service Major Crime Section have laid an additional charge in relation to the homicide of Gabriel Neil.

Haroun Raselma, 19, of London, is charged by way of application for a Canada-wide warrant of arrest with one count of manslaughter.

Update December 4th
Th eCanada-wide warrant was re-issued for the arrest of a second suspect, Haroun Raselma, 19, for the offence of manslaughter. 

Detective Sergeant Sean Travis said, “Haroun Raselma is known to have ties to both London and the Montreal area, however his current whereabouts are unknown and he has not been arrested. We implore him to contact a lawyer and surrender himself to police.”

Raselma is described as: Male, Middle-Eastern with a lighter complexion. He is approximately 5’10”, medium to heavy build, with shoulder-length bushy/curly brown hair that he parts in the middle.

Update January 19th, 2022
London police announced on Jan 18th that they have arrested Haroun Raselma, 19, and charged him with manslaughter. The suspect who had an outstanding warrant issued for his arrest, turned himself into police in the morning of Jan 18th.
