St-Eustache police responded to the report of an injured man at a home on September 12th at approximately 4:00am.

Police arrived to find 71-year-olf Gerald Foucher suffering from serious injuries. He was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Police said Yves Foucher, 45, was arrested at the scene of the murder of his father. According to Journal Du Quebec Yves Foucher has a criminal history dating back to the 90s, notably for assault. The noted that Yves suffers from mental disorders, which could have played a role in his alleged acts committed in Saint-Eustache.
