Cold Lake RCMP responded to a shooting on the Elizabeth Metis Settlement on April 27th at Approximately 12:30am.

Police arrived to find a 44-year-old man suffering from serious injuries. He was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced deceased. No additional information is available at this time.

RCMP believe this was a targeted attack and there is no threat to the public. The Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit has taken over the investigation.
