Abdishakur Harun charged with First-Degree murder in Windsor Ontario’s latest homicide

Windsor Police Service patrol officers responded to the area of University Avenue West and Dougall Avenue for a report of a motor vehicle collission involving multiple vehicles on November 18th at approximately 4:00am.

Police arrived to find the 44 year old male driver of a Dodge Journey suffering from serious injuries. He was rushed to hospial where he died of his injuries. Police said the victim was involved in an altercation with another male prior to the collision occurring. 

Major Crime Unit investigators have identified the accused as Abdishakur Harun, 33, of Windsor. Harun was arrested in St. Thomas Ontario and charged with:

  • First Degree Murder
  • Discharge Firearm with Intent to Wound, Endanger Life
  • Point Firearm
  • Posses Weapon Dangerous to Public Peace
