Abbotsford’s Emergency services responded to the report of a stabbing in the 2400 Blk of Clearbrook road, on January 8th at approximatelu 2:07am.
Police arrived to find a 41-year-old male seriously injured. The victim was rushed to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
No arrests have been made and The Abbotsford Police Major Crime Unit will be transitioning this investigation to the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT).

The victim has been identified by the IHIT as 41-year-old local resident Ryan Lajeunesse. Investigators said Mr. Lajeunesse is known to police. “This was a targeted stabbing and not random,
” said Sergeant David Lee of IHIT, “we are piecing together what Mr. Lajeunesse was doing at the time of the incident and who he was with.
