Abbotsford Police Department responded to a reported stabbing at Larch Park, located in the 2600 block of Beck Road on the evening of May 25, 2025, at approximately 7:36 p.m.

When police arrived, they found a male youth with life-threatening injuries. Despite the efforts of bystanders and first responders, the victim tragically died at the scene.

Two youth suspects have been taken into custody. Larch Park remains closed as a large police presence continues in the area. Early findings suggest the stabbing was a targeted act, not a random attack.

The Abbotsford Police Major Crime Unit is leading the investigation and will be turning the case over to the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT), which will provide updates as more information becomes available.

Update: The victim was identified as Billy Ledoux. The police said the two youths who were arrested near the scene were cleared of involvement in the stabbing.

Investigators are asking anyone who was in the area between 6:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., or who may have dashcam footage, to contact the IHIT Infoline at 1-877-551-4448.
