The 2024 Winnipeg Homicide Victim List is available here

On May 12, 2024, at approximately 2:20 a.m., Winnipeg Police responded to the area of Portage Avenue and Arlington Street regarding an injured male.

Police located the male on the ground and provided emergency medical care by applying a chest seal and administering compressions.

The male was transported to hospital in critical condition, where he was later pronounced deceased.

The deceased has been identified as Jack Jacques KABLUITOK, 46, of Rankin Inlet Nunavut, currently residing in Winnipeg.

The suspects were identified, and on August 20, 2024, while in the 200 block of Young Street, an adult male and adult female were arrested.

Derrick James GREY, 32, has been charged with Manslaughter and Robbery.

Roberta Jonah SUMNER, 21, has been charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000.
