Waterloo Police were dispatched to a residence on Marianne Dorn Trail in the city of Kitchener at approximately 6:50 p.m on January 25th on the report of an injured male.

Police arrived to find a 48-year-old male suffering from serious injuries. The victim was declared deceased at the scene. Police have not released the cause of death at this time.

A 77-year-old man was arrested at the scene and charged with second-degree murder. It has been reported that the victim was the son of the accused.
