Isaiah Thomas Macnab, Shot to Death in Broad Daylight in Kitchener

Kitchener Waterloo Police responded to reports of a shooting in a parking lot in the area of Pandora Avenue and King Street at approximately 11:15am on September 20th.

Police and paramedics arrived at the scene to find Isaiah Thomas Macnab, 20 deceased. The cause of death has been determined to be multiple gunshots.

Police are searching for the driver of a stolen four-door Mercedes car that was seen leaving the area with two individuals inside. The stolen vehicle’s licence plate a is BZBP153.

Update, Husband charged with murder – Kitchener House explosion that killed Edresilda Haan, deemed a homicide

The Waterloo Regional Police Service, and the Kitchener Fire Department, responded to Sprucedale Crescent shortly after 8 a.m. on August 22nd on report of an explosion.

Police arrived to find Edresilda Haan, 58, deceased in the backyard of the home. A 58-year-old male, who also resided in the home, was airlifted to hospital with critical injuries.

Police determined that Edresilda Haan’s death was the result of a homicide. The cause of the explosion is still under investigation.

Update October 9th 2018
Udo Haan, 58, who remains in hospital under medical care, has been charged with first-degree murder and one count of arson with disregard for human life in relation to the house explosion that took the life of his wife Edresilda Haan.

Yvonne Umutoniwasi found dead in a Kitchener home

Waterloo Regional Police responded to a check on welfare at a residence on Pearl Place in Kitchener at approximately 2:15 p.m. on August 12.

On arrival police found Yvonne Umutoniwasi, 28, of Kitchener, deceased. Police said the death of Umitoniwasi is suspicious and still in the early stages.

Shawn Yorke found dead in his Kitchener home

Waterloo Regional Police were called to a  home at 150 Elm Ridge Drive in Kitchener at approximately 1:20am, on July 8th.

Police arrived at the home to find Shawn Yorke, 45, dead in the home of a gunshot wound. Police believe the shooting was targeted.

Ronald Chandler, stabbed to death in Kitchener

Waterloo Regional Police responded to a report of an injured male at 926 Courtland Avenue East, at approximately 8:45pm on June 18th.

Police arrived to find Ronald Chandler, 66, suffering from obvious injuries. Chandler was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Police are looking to speak to a man who was seen in the area at the time of the stabbing. He is described as white, late 20s to early 30s with a thin build and short, light-coloured hair. He was wearing a black backpack and carrying a guitar.

Update August 24th
Jeremy Peter Winnan, 22, from Kitchener has been charged with second degree murder, one count of Indignity to a Dead Body and Breach Probation.

Update – Lam Diing, 23, a wide receiver for the University of Waterloo football team dies of a stab wound

Kitchener Police responded to an altercation outside a residence on Kenora Avenue, April 15th at 12:05am.

Police discovered a 23 year old male suffering from an alleged stab wound. The victim was rushed to hospital where he dies of his injury. The victim’s name will not be released until his next of kin is notified.

A 22 year old man has been arrested, Police cannot release his identity until he appears before a Justice.

Update April 17th

Police have identified the deceased as Lam Diing. A post-mortem determined the cause of death to be stabbing.

Nicholas Salim Ndayisenga, 22, from Kitchener, has been charged with one count of Second Degree Murder.

2 youth arrested in connection to Kitchener’s second homicide in less than a week

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating an n altercation resulting in the death of a Kitchener man on August 31st at approximately 11:30pm on on Chandler Drive.

Police said the man was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries. The victims name and cause of death have not been released.

Two male youth have been arrested.

Altercation turns deadly in Kitchener

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating the death of a man that happened as a result of an altercation on August 27th at approximately 4:45 p.m.

The victim was rushed to hospital after being located with serious injuries on Mooregate crescent. The victim died in hospital of his injuries. Police have not released the cause of death.

The name of the victim will not be released until his next of kin has been notified.

One man has been arrested however no charges have been made public at this time.

Update: Ager Hasan arrested in texas for the death of Melinda Vasilije

Police are looking for Ager Mohsin Hasan, 24, from Hamilton, after the body of Melinda Vasilije 22,  was found dead in an apartment on Country Hill Drive in Kitchener around 3am on April 28th.

Police have not released the cause of Vasilije’s death at this time, only saying that they believe Hasan is responsible.

Hasan was last seen in Canada in a 2016 black Honda HR-V with the license plate BPKT509, crossing into the U.S.A. via the Peace Bridge.

Pennsylvania State Police said a person matching the description of Hasan was seen removing a license plate from a vehicle in the parking lot of a Walmart in Harborcreek, Pennsylvania on April 28th at around 10am.

Ager Mohsin Hasan should be considered dangerous, anyone with information is asked to call 911.

Update July 12th

Ager Mohsin Hasan, 24, was arrested in Texas in connection to the death of 22-year-old Melinda Vasilije. Waterloo police are working with American officials on transporting Hasan back to Canada. Hasan is facing a second degree murder charge in the death of Melinda Vasilije.

Brandon Makins Shot to death

Kitchener Police were called to reports of gunshots Greendale Crescent, At around 930 pm on May 28th.

Police found Brandon Makins 33 shot to death outside the home. It has been said that a red Dodge Charger sped down the street, stopped and shot three times. One of the three shots hit Makins in the chest.

A 29 Kitchener man, was arrested on May 29th and is facing a first degree murder charge. His name has not been released.
