Marylene Levesque killed in a Quebec City Hotel by a man previously convicted of murder

Quebec City police found the body of 22-year-old Marylène Levesque, in a hotel room in the City’s Sainte-Foy neighborhood on January 22nd.

Eustachio Gallese, 51, turned himself in on January 22nd, telling police where to find the body of Levesque an alleged sex worker (according to reports). Gallese was on parole for the 2006 murder of his partner, Chantale Deschenes. Police said Gallese has been charged with second-degree murder in relation to the death of Marylène Levesque.

Update: Eustachio Gallese, 51, has pleaded guilty to first-degree murder in the death of Marylène Lévesque. Gallese was initially charged with second-degree murder, that charge was upgraded to first-degree murder on February 24th.

Levesque’s death is the first homicide in Quebec City in 2020.
