Montreal police responded to report of an injured man in front of a residence on Pierre-Tétreault St. near Hochelaga St, on October 29th at approximately 8:00pm.

Police arrived to find the victim in life threatening condition, and a firearm next to him. The man was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.

Police said the victim  was known to authorities as being involved in the illegal drug trade.
