A 42-year-old man has died following a physical intervention involving a security officer in Longueuil, Quebec.

Police were called to 1401 Chemin de Chambly at approximately 6:45 p.m. on June 16 after receiving reports of an unconscious man following an altercation with a security officer.

The man was found at the scene and taken to hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The 20-year-old security officer involved in the incident was arrested and is expected to be interviewed by investigators. A police investigation is now underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the man’s death and the events leading up to it.
