The 2024 Quebec Homicide Victim List is available here

The Sûreté du Québec were called to a home in Coteau-du-Lac on September 18th at approximately 3:00am.

On arrival police located an injured 5-year-old boy who died of his injuries shortly after. His cause of death has not been released.

Police say two other people inside the home were also taken to hospital, including the suspect.  The suspect, a 29-year-old woman was arraigned in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield in the afternoon of September 18th, and charged with murder.

The identities of the victim and accused will not be released due to a publication ban.
