Vancouver police are investigation the City’s latest homicide that happened on August 11th . Police were called to the Caprice Nightclub on Granville on report of a beating.

According to police Lauren McLellan 28, was punched and kicked by a 25 and 29 year old woman. Witnesses said the fight broke out over something minor.  McLellan was sent to hospital where she later died.

Police had the suspects in custody, however they have been released until the autopsy can prove there wasn’t an underlying medical condition.

Update – October 19th

Vancouver police said Samantha Doolan 29, was taken into custody on October 14th and has been charged with manslaughter in the beating death of Lauren McLellan.

No other charges will be laid.
