Manitoba 2026 Homicide Victim List

RCMP are investigating a homicide after an 18-year-old man was found dead in Lynn Lake, Manitoba, on the morning of May 30, 2026.

At approximately 5:30 a.m., Lynn Lake RCMP received a report of an unresponsive male at a residence in the community. Officers attended the scene and located the young man, who was then transported to the local nursing station. He was later pronounced dead.

Initial information provided to police suggested the victim had been involved in an ATV collision and had sustained fatal injuries. However, investigators have since determined that no ATV crash occurred and that the death was the result of a homicide.

The investigation is ongoing and is being led by Lynn Lake RCMP with assistance from RCMP Major Crime Services and RCMP Forensic Identification Services.

Update June 5th 2026: Following an ongoing investigation by Lynn Lake RCMP and Manitoba RCMP Major Crime Services, police have made an arrest in connection with the death of an 18-year-old male.

Authorities have charged 25-year-old Phenix Rodgers of Lynn Lake with manslaughter. He is currently in custody.
