On November 21, 2024, at approximately 1:30 p.m., police in Alliston, Ontario, found the body of a deceased newborn inside a residence.

Following the discovery, authorities launched a suspicious death investigation and later determined that the infant’s death was a homicide.

While the police have not revealed the specific details that led to the homicide charge, they confirmed on January 15, 2025, that a 16-year-old from New Tecumseth, Ontario, had been arrested. The teenager was charged with first-degree murder and indignity to a dead body. The investigation is ongoing, more information will be released as tit becomes available.
