Ying Chun (Annie) Li 36, was last seen by her family on June 12 in Markham. Police said they believe Li is dead after their investigation, however they won’t be releasing any details.
A Canada wide warrant has been issued for Jiarui (Jerry) Tang, who is wanted for manslaughter in the disappearance of Annie Li.
Police said Tang frequents Toronto’s Chinatown.
Jiarui (Jerry) Tang was arrested by Toronto police and has been charged with manslaughter.
Update January 24th 2017
The body of Ying Chun (Annie) Li was found in a North York park near Yonge Street and Sheppard Avenue on January 6th. Jiarui Tang has pleaded guilty to manslaughter.
Update February 2nd
Jiarui (Jerry) Tang, has been sentenced to seven years in prison for the killing of Ying Chun (Annie) Li. Tang who is originally from China could face deportation once he is eligible for parole.
Li’s death was a result of Tang’s elbow being pressed against her neck.
